The November 23 online event was organized by ANSI, the Africa Organization for Standardization (ARSO), and the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC).
The workshop included a thorough review of existing international standards, best practices, safety requirements, and in-market testing for the cosmetics sector. Past workshop series speakers joined a panel discussion, providing participants with an opportunity to network, engage, and ask questions. The Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) further collaborated with ARSO by sharing some of its experiences on implementation of a recent cosmetics standard, GSO 1943/2021.
The event had 65 participants and featured 11 expert speakers from the U.S., Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Expert speakers included three representatives from two U.S.-based organizations including ANSI members Proctor & Gamble and PCPC.
